Hanno Soravia studied law at the University of Vienna. He later worked as a project leader at the Bauholding AG company. He also served as a project leader for the chamber of commerce in Hong Kong.

Hanno Soravia established his own company in 1981. In 1990, he co-founded a series of companies with his brother Erwin: the HS Bauträger GmbH, Soravia Parking Garages GmbH, Stadtpark Liegenschaftsbeteiligung GmbH (which purchased the Hotel Hilton Vienna) and the Shopping Palace in Bratislava, to name but a few.

His business activities also include the acquisition of television channels in Munich, Berlin and Zurich.

Within the company, Hanno Soravia, along with his brother Erwin, is responsible for project development for building and construction.

In his free time, Hanno Soravia enjoys hunting and fishing.
