Zinaida Greceanii
Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova

Born on February 7 1956, in Tomsk Region of the Russian Federation.
A graduate of the Financial and Economic College in Chisinau and the State University of Moldova, Department of Economy.
Following her College graduation, since 1974 to 1991, she is applying herself as Senior Accountant, Senior Inspector, Senior Inspector-Auditor, Head of the Budgetary Section within the Financial Division of Briceni (district).
From 1991 to 1994 she is Head of the Budgetary Section and Assistant to the Head of the Economic-Financial Division of Briceni, Interim Head of the District Economic-Financial Division.
In the period 1994-1996 she is Assistant to the Head of the General Division for the Budget Elaboration and Analysis, Head of the Local Budget Division of the Budget Department of the Ministry of Finances.
From 1996 to 2000, she is Head of the General Division for the Budget Elaboration and Analysis, Director of the Budget Department. In 2000-2001 – Deputy Minister of Finances.
In 2001-2002 - First Deputy Minister of Finances. As by Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova, on February 8, 2002 she is appointed Interim Minister of Finances, and on February 26, 2002 - Minister of Finances.
On 19 April 2005, upon the vote of confidence of the Parliament and by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova, she is appointed Minister of Finances.
On 10 October 2005, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova she is appointed First Deputy Prime Minister.
On 31 Mart 2008, upon the vote of confidence of the Parliament, she was elected Prime Minister.
Married, mother of two children.
