Vienna Insurance Group in Ukraine

Purchase of Ukrainska Strakhova Grupa finalized.

Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG, Vienna Insurance Group, founding member of Vienna Economic Forum has significantly increased its engagement on the Ukrainian insurance market and has purchased 62 percent of capital stock of Ukrainska Strakhova Grupa.

Vienna Insurance Group has been active in Ukraine for four years. Apart from Ukrainska Strakhova Grupa both insurance companies of property Kniazha und Globus, as well as life insurance Jupiter belong to the corporate group. Altogether the corporate branches of Vienna Insurance Group in Ukraine are second on the automobile insurance market and on the whole Ukrainian insurance market they are on 6th range.

On the international level the corporation is market leader in this region. Apart from their home market Austria Vienna Insurance Group is working in Albania, Bulgaria, Germany, Estonia, Georgia, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Mazedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine and Belarus. There are branches in Italy and Slovenia. Vienna Insurance Group is market leader in Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaia, Albania and Georgia.

Working Visit in Chisinau

On the occasion of the working visit to prepare Vienna Economic Forum- Chishinau Meeting, taking place on 20-21. February 2008 in the Moldovan capital, Secretary General of Vienna Economic Forum Ambassador Dr. Elena Kirtcheva met Moldovan First Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Zinaida Greceanii.

H.E. Mihail Pop, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Moldova and the Secretary General were satisfied after the intensive talks and preparations.

Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro on Working Visit

H.E. Dr. Vujica Lazovic, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic policy of Montenegro today met Secretary General Ambassador Dr. Elena Kirtcheva for talks in the office of Vienna Economic Forum.

Topics were the forthcoming Vienna Economic Forum - Montenegro Meeting to be held 14 – 15 April 2008 in Podgorica under the Patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Zeljko Sturanovic and further cooperation.
